  •  "Austerity" and "sequestration" are just new (1+ / 0-)

words, euphemisms if you will, for what Congress has been perpetrating for decades. What they are doing is rationing dollars for the purpose of setting populations against each other (rural v. urban, old v. young, male v. female), 'cause that's how they get their jollies.
They need to be called on it. They need to be set straight that deprivation is not going to be tolerated anymore.
The federal government makes the money, literally, and doles it out as needed. For Congress to claim there is not enough is simply a scam.
It's been well proven that rationing leads to hoarding, so it is very possible that rationing dollars has the same effect as rationing anything else and the hoarding that we know is occuring in the private sector may just be a normal response.

What's abnormal is claiming that a man-made artifact which the Federal Reserve now generates with key strokes on a computer is somehow scarce. Might as well claim we are running out of vowels 'cause "austerity" used up all but the 'o'

We organize governments to deliver services and prevent abuse.
