Disappointment.  There is a lot more to say now and in the future about Iraq.  It is wise and appropriate that other voices attach to and join things like Maddow's work.  This one hour that she has currently done on the Iraq War creates a clear and incontrovertible verbal and visual foundation in history for certain facts that many will attempt to ignore and rewrite 20 years from now.   An hour foundation is important to history.  We know this because of the attempted rewrites of the Vietnam War.

The aftermath of the Iraq War is ongoing around me.  Defining PTSD and diagnosing it is getting rapidly more and more competent at the same moment that the NeoCons worst choices are being simultaneously experienced and recorded.

I do not begrudge Maddow's work on this thusfar, there is so much more work to be done.  I have people around me suiciding right now, and there isn't a God Damned thing I can really do about it in most cases other than record it,  be a witness to the trauma, the pain, what has been lost.

She created a very basic foundation exactly when the cornerstones are being laid.  Those who suffer must have it, a nation that must learn must have it, the experiencing and learning of the horror that Iraq cost us...and has now come home to is really only just beginning.
