  •  Link to his website...o wait there isn't one. (4+ / 0-)

I refuse to take a candidate seriously this day in age when they can't get anything other than a splash page up on their current office run.

His congressional site doesn't count.  EdMarkey.com is his supposed Senate Candidacy site and it's pathetic.

    •  Everyone who supports Markey: (3+ / 0-)

Please, go to his campaign's web site.  Click the "contact" link, and send an email urging them to update the site!

    •  Just wrote a strongly worded message ... (2+ / 0-)

on the contact form on that pitiful website, requesting that he get a real website up ASAP, lest he become another Martha Coakley, etc.

I'm adding my voice to what I'm sure are many others to say that Congressman Markey has GOT to improve his website beyond a donation link and a splash page! Those of us who are online activists need a place where we can refer friends who want more information on his campaign--and no, his congressional page isn't going to do the job. (There's a difference in emphasis and intent between legislating and campaigning and your online information should reflect that.)

I have three sisters who know Rep. Lynch personally (including one who's a pro-choice feminist!) and they're all telling everyone on FB what a great guy he is. You need to counter that with a source of information we can use, dammit, with succinct, strategically-worded policy statements, impressive endorsements and interesting candid photos to generate excitement over Congressman Markey's candidacy, or he'll be at risk of pulling a Coakley and letting someone win in a walk whose record in deep Blue Massachusetts means he doesn't deserve the job.

Yes, Rep. Lynch's campaign website isn't any better. But just because his is sucky doesn't mean yours has to suck, too. Think of it as a small way to get out ahead of him. And in primaries, small things count. The President had a full-blown first-rate website well in advance of the general election. It threw his opponents off stride and made an impression on a demographic that is assuming more and more prominence among voters. You need to go thou and do likewise. We want Congressman Markey to WIN. Don't blow it.
