View Diary: Glenn Greenwald Once Again Proves He is a Hate-Oozing Douche (332 comments)

  •  Worlds away from his attitude toward Obama. (15+ / 0-)

Greenwald deferred to the judgment of a raving psychopath Republican that a country with neither the capacity nor intention to attack the United States should be preemptively invaded at enormous cost in life, treasure, and national credibility, but...

He hears that a CIA agent set foot in a Somali military base known for abusing prisoners and from this piece of information declares, as an established fact, that Barack Obama has invaded Somalia and established US torture prisons there.

I sure hope it's a long time in the future before we get to see this two-faced sonofabitch shift gears again and start implicitly trusting the next Republican to set foot in the White House.

A slaver says: "Work for me or I'll kill you." A corporate executive says "Work for me or I'll take away your means of survival." Is there a difference?

I'm sure when it happens, he'll have some of his defenders here gushing over his consistency and principle while others are writing their leave Britney Glenn aloooooooone diaries.

      •  Someone should let him know that (7+ / 0-)

"I hate Democrats" is not a principle, and interpreting every possible combination of circumstances as justifying that attitude no matter how tenuous or insane the reasoning needed to get there is not "consistency."

He praises people when they deserve to be praised.  Here is an excerpt after Obama made his public his support of same sex marriage.
"There are many disappointments and truly bad acts for which President Obama is responsible, but for one day at least, on this single issue, he demonstrated authentic and important leadership on a civil rights issue that affects millions."

is when praising them serves to cast aspersions on Democrats and, more importantly, Barack Obama personally.  The only time he praises the President, it's always some back-handed, grudging compliment peppered with CT innuendos that it's all a charade.  Anyone here who worked for a guy who assessed their performance like that would end up quitting and pissing on his desk.

Some things you just can't unsmell.
