  •  That's all very well (7+ / 0-)

but it doesn't have much to do with the substance of the rant above.

Nothing human is alien to me.

    •  rant above about Greenwald Obama Derangement (9+ / 0-)
So, while this latest steaming pile of Obama Derangement isn't quite that rancid, it is certainly a classic entry in what will no doubt become an anthology printed on toilet paper.
      bold in the original

and the title of the diary is:

Glenn Greenwald Once Again Proves He is a Hate-Oozing Douche

My response was to point out the many contradictions in the administration's positions that Glenn Greenwald has pointed out. If someone has not read Greenwald and how he lays out an argument for positions that are outside the mainstream, they may be interested in following him.

For example, after Obama made the speech early in his first term in Egypt, we expected the US would be much better respected in the Middle East than when W Bush was president. It is surprising that in some cases we score even worse and part of that is because of the use of drones.

Here is again one of the many paradoxes of our country. We are going down the path of austerity in federal spending, but the one military airplane, the F-35, which isn't even operational yet, and because of the delays, its electronics is already out of date, is projected to cost

      ONE TRILLION dollars

      http://defensetech.org/...

The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are projected to cost over 3 trillion dollars.

The military, industrial, security complex runs DC and the politicians go along for the ride. Social security is on the chopping block, but not military spending.

Am I an Obama Derangement person for saying this???

The point of my original email is that far too often dailykos people use the HR to attack people rather than face the issues that are truly important and are supported by both parties.

      •  Well, your point about Hrs seems OT (4+ / 0-)

since the only Hrs here are on the tip jar.

While GG may have spoken truth to power, that doesn't put him above criticism. The specifics of Troub's critique may or may not be justified. The points you've raised, regardless of their merit, don't really speak to that.
