his column is about ass kissing media

then he has an update with "very good books"

they are left and right substance free books that both claim that the press has bent over backward to say good things about Obama

as a long time Greenwald reader, i read it as IRONY, IRONY

Greenwald's attackers these days are primary two groups: Zionists and Obama supporters

this diary is an example of an Obama Supporter attack on Greenwald and it is truly a rant, not a reasoned statement like Greenwald does all the time

    •  I don't think so at all (0+ / 0-)

His description of the books is making the exact same point that his column is making. The books are restating the central thesis of this column, that the press are too fawning. What is ironic about saying, "And for further reading, here are a couple of books that agree with me"?

      •  ironic because the books are full of crap (0+ / 0-)

and he would have to hold the position that his column is full of crap

have you really followed the reasoning and citations in Greenwald ?

around and around in circles. The books are saying the exact same thing he is saying (the media should have been harder on Obama), so he agrees with them. Thus he thinks they are good books. There is no indication that he actually thinks the books are crappy; in fact he calls the right-wing one 'comprehensive' and the quote you provide above from a reviewer about how awesome its research is would bolster that idea. What he thinks is crappy is the way the press fawns over Obama, not somebody detailing that.

However, it seems that we are not going to agree on this. Cheers, have a nice day.
