  •  He's somehow managed (15+ / 0-)

to not notice that those economic policies, so beloved of Republicans, have never worked in the real world.

Tell you what,Jeff. You try that first on the House and the Senate, and in twelve years, you can tell us how well it's done. Because y'all aren't earning your salaries now, with your 24-hour work weeks, so you're on welfare more than anyone else.

(Is it time for the pitchforks and torches yet?)

    •  The last we heard of trickle down was last fall (0+ / 0-)

when the people who had gotten all the benefits were said to be sitting on the cash because of the uncertainty they had about the effects of the financial brawls going on, and were not willing to pay to create jobs until that was resolved in a way that made them not feel uncertain. Remember that?

Until then, the trickle down part of trickle down had never resulted in any trickle down because those who got the benefits kept the cash. And are still keeping it. They were giving out benefits on the premise that out of the goodness of their hearts, those who got it would use it in a publicly responsible way, by using it to expand local businesses and hire American workers. No obligation to do so resulted in no doing so.
