I won't delve into conspiracies over what Obama was thinking during, but at the least, it leaves me unconvinced that Obama isn't better than lukewarm about climate change. He accepts the science, but seems overly deliberate in a time when the gap between taking action and accepting the fate of physics is widening to an inescapable point.

For all the promise Obama has indeed unequivocally stated in his Inaugural address and SOTU about the threat of climate change, he seems to have couched in the "all of the above approach" into the dialogue. And so, in perfect metaphor, the juxtaposition of Obama golfing with oil executives in the midst of the Forward on Climate rally strikes me as a serious mixed message. I'm not , but I feel that the site of Obama golfing with Boehner and Obama golfing with Milton Carroll is the difference between reconciling with people you are required to work with and people who have no bearing on your political achievement.
