hybrid? How many of us can afford solar panels or a small wind generator?  I don't blame Obama for the economy, but I do have to point out, that we will not make a dent in climate change, until regular people, people who make below 60,000 a year, can retrofit their houses [if they still have one], can buy a hybrid, or live in areas that reliable, clean public transportation that covers not just the inner metropolitan areas, but that reaches all the way out into the urban sprawl.

There are so many, small things that could have been addressed--like installing interconnected sidewalks and bike lanes.

      But no.

Lets frack more. Lets build a ginormous pipeline right over one of our biggest aquiferts and hope that they don't pull a BP on us.

Lets not build sustainable communities and neighborhoods--lets just keep doing the same goddamn things over and over and hope for different results.

I voted for Obama twice. I am glad that he has done great things for the Homosexual community, I am thankful for the GI bill changes he put in place for current veterans,  but the climate change stuff has been more than disappointing.

Growing a garden at the white house isn't enough. It's a good example, but it's not enough.

We need to break up monsanto with anti-trust laws, and stop them from controlling our food sources and our bees--yes Monsanto wants GMO bees now--imagine what will happen to beeks when their genes mix with our bees--Monsanto owns all the bees now too?

Better food labeling laws so people have the power to vote with their pocket books.

And stop the abuse of post 911 laws that are used to prosecute lawful protesters in the United States as if they were terrorists for challenging corrupt financial institutions.

Sadly, this is all intertwined. Poor people too busy trying to find work and feed their kids cannot protest much of anything.  Funny how that works.
