    The interns are instructed to log in every call (and every email, letter, etc.) and report what the subject was.

    Maybe they don't always do that, but that's the best I can do here.

    You see, I can't actually talk with my elected official...

      Having actually worked in a Congressional office, they aren't required or instructed to log every call. That's up to an individual Congressional office, but my office and the one's I knew never logged every call...because that would be insanity and take forever.  The vast majority do track each piece of mail, however.

      I mean, I'm glad you feel good about your phone call...I just don't see what the point was, or how it was effective in any way, other than making you feel a bit smug about it.  Carry on.
