do not do justice to the size and amount of power that thing unleashed.  Everyone should at one time in their lives go to the site of a volcano that's gone off.  It is indeed humbling.

The afternoon after the explosion, I was on a man made lake, having some "Down time" from a job. A group of guys floated over to my raft and spent an hour joking around and teasing me. I kept chiding them for flicking their cigarette ashes on me. But low and behold, there were cig ashes on me after they left to go to their evening shift jobs. It then dawned on me that the ash that had been floating down on me was from that volcano, over a fifteen hundred  miles away! That really  amazed me.
