    I grew up in NYC in the '70s, and my mother was in law school. I remember discussions about “Turn ‘Em Loose Bruce” very vividly.

      (I don't want to write the same reply over and over).

      It is very hard in this city to take a stand against the nypd and stick with it.  VERY difficult.  (In fact, I shudder to think where the common person would be (regardless of color or culture) in nyc without those security cameras everywhere.  (The bike rider in Times Square is the most glaring example that comes to mind at present).

      It is wonderful to hear the praises heaped on Judge Wright by some former critics in government positions.  Time will do that, as we know:  time, and the safety of distance that comes with it.
