  •  Four Legged Defenders Of The World (14+ / 0-)

Dark Horse Comics' "Beasts of Burden" is centered around a group that protects the world from zombies, ghosts, covens attempting to bring eldritch abominations into our dimension, and various other supernatural threats.

The only difference with "Beasts of Burden" is the group is a group of dogs (and one cat), and the story is told from their perspective. It's basically "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" or "Supernatural" with a cast made up of intellectual animals.

It's also the latest comic-book property to get a feature film adaption.

The project is an animated adventure about the baffling behavior (tail chasing, barking at “nothing” at all) of our favorite four-legged friends. In the charming town of Burden Hill, there might be more to these animal antics than meets the eye. The town is inhabited by the supernatural, and when its paranormal activity becomes even more abnormal than usual, it’s up to a group of fearless canines called the Watch Dogs to protect its citizens – and humanity – from the mysterious things that go “bump” in the night.
