when liberals despised Kiriakou for justifying that torture actually worked on Abu Zubaydah.

And that's just from the front page of DailyKos.

So... were liberals completely wrong about him back in 2007?  Or are liberals wrong now to praise him?

    •  I agree there's been some hypocrisy (1+ / 0-)

But you've got to admit something's wrong when the only man going to jail for torture was the guy who spoke out against it.

Republicans are far more socialist than Democrats. Just because they want to redistribute the wealth upwards does not make it any better.

      •  And the guy who supported it... (0+ / 0-)

is getting promoted by a Democratic President. Welcome John "Torture Drone 1.0" Brennan.

    •  I don't recall anyone saying he should go to... (0+ / 0-)

prison for two and a half years for what he did. The problem was that he was talking out of his ass, trusting the same BS storyline John Brennan was peddling for the CIA when he, too, discussed the success of a program about which he had no firsthand knowledge.

I'll grant that there's some hyperbole in lionizing the guy, but he was simply, ignorantly, attempting to tell the public what he thought he knew about a program he specifically called "torture".
