      try to wake up the kids, the principal would get wind of it, and I would be called on the carpet.   It depends on the administration of each school. But I would just gently tell them to wake up and move on with the lesson.  I guess I taught at schools where principals would not be happy if I ignored a sleeping student and kids talk and word gets out what teachers allow kids to sleep or do will take advantage and spread the word.
