    But have you been out to Carroll County lately?  Geographically, most of the state is severely conservative.

        As far as I can tell, most of the Republicans in the Maryland State Senate have had at least an acquaintance with sanity.

        The imbalance in the state between heavily populated Blue counties and less populated Red Counties gives oddities like the 1994 Gubernatorial election where the Democrat won two counties (Montgomery and PG) and the City of Baltimore and lost twenty-one counties. The Democrat won the election. :)

        Thank goodness for Reynolds v Sims. Without that, the State Senate would probably be majority Republican!
