    This is our kids second school year here. We were surprised to learn that the schools just flat dropped one hour per day the first year.

    Now, we've discovered that if a teacher leaves, they are not allowed to replace them. They just enlarge the size of the classes.

    We all stand submissively before the global ATM machine network like trained chickens pecking the correct colored buttons to release our grains of corn. Joe Bageant
