    Thanks a lot, Texas.  

    Governor Rick Perry's breastbeating and militarization of the State Police is highly responsible for this.

    That the buffoon director of the "Department of Public Safety" thinks the policy should be changed but that the police did no wrong shooting and killing people from the air in the past makes no sense. That's his "I'm a loser" admission.

    Have you seen the patrol boats the governor has put on the Rio Grande?  They could have been used in Vietnam. They weren't, they're just high-powered large sports boats sprouting very heavy weaponry.

    Militarizing state aircraft to shoot at civilians without provocation or armed confrontation should be considered a crime.  Police brutality is far too accepted. And, personally, I consider the actions resulting in the shooting deaths of two immigrants and wounding of a third to be murder.
