opened my eyes wide. I too have homeowners insurance. But here is my confusion (well actually) my ignorance towards whether my homeowners insurance covers something like this in Tony`s case.

All I know is that my home is covered from wind damage and stuff like that, but am not aware if I am protected from lawsuits if someone gets hurt in my property.

Why am I ignorant to this....I don`t know.

This could include injuries from a "slip and fall" type of accident, but the insurance company won't necessarily pay easily.

A lawyer may be able to help.  They normally don't charge for a consultation on an injury case, but they will take a percentage of any money recovered.

Yes, I know of one lawyer here in Milwaukee who takes a case on the contingency basis. All one has to do is make the call.

His famous line is "one call, that`s all". I see his face on tv every day with this line. By this he means that one call can get you millions from injuries suffered if you make that call and let him get you those millions.

I will have to look into what my home insurance covers.

        Thanks for the tip

do act responsibly including some companies. I broke my arm at someone's house once. Spent 5 days in the hospital and have 2 plates and 8 screws in my arm.

Insurance paid all but the deductible. No attorneys were involved.

I didn't profit from this there was no money for lawyers to receive. Insurance just paid all medical bills.
