    7-8 F increase by the end of the C wouldn't be catastrophic?

    Every time ice melt and other indicators are checked, Change is happening faster than previously projected...

      But I'm arguing that it's not quite inevitable as there's many variables involved; i.e., there's a very, very, slight chance of us being at somewhere around 2.5-3*C by 2100 even if drastic action is taken in 10 years or so(and it may not be), and likewise, there's a somewhat greater, though still small chance we might not go much above that even if little else is done about AGW(and that may be true.....with emphasis on "may". As in, it's not a sure thing.).

      Still, though, better to have missed the mark after a valiant effort then never to have tried at all, even if the worst doesn't come to pass, IMHO......
