    If France, diesel was significantly cheaper than petrol because the govt. subsidized the cost of diesel (mostly for agriculture).

    If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!

      Even when considering petroleum-derived diesel, I can't figure out what a natural price would be because refineries dictate so much of supply and demand.

      My poor unsophisticated brain thinks diesel should be cheaper than gas because it's a less refined product than gasoline. It (and Jet-A, etc) is basically just kerosene.
