I have absolutely no idea what happened here.   Considering they both had a long body of work here at Kos, I was pretty shocked.

I have no idea what happened.  And it's doubtful we'll get an explanation.   If they read this though, I do wish someone would explain.   :(

This same ID @gmail always is available, because wow... just shocking

to be able to read the offending diary, but apparently it's been deleted.

Was it deleted by the writer or by management?

Kos has explained the issues within this diary so I get it now.

In the diary that was deleted, Jim had noted that most of this came from a back and forth in Kosmail and private email that ended up with the parties being removed.

We don't know any details beyond that.  At this point, I guess I prefer to not know any more details then that.

Now that we know that the action was what Kos and others consider the only real option they have, while I'm dissappointed, I prefer to stay disappointed rather than know the real underlying problem and feel sick.

and saw nothing particularly offensive in it. There may be a lot of backstory that's only being hinted at, but my original question remains: Who deleted Jim in IA's diary? Did he, or was it deleted by management?

Jim in IA's diary was removed because it followed the pattern of harassment against a good user who didn't deserve it, not to mention concluded with threats against that user, including veiled hints at her/his identity.

of the story. It may or may not be accurate.

Even assuming that the description is accurate, journalism (such as is no longer practiced in this country) requires a minimum of two sources to back up controversial facts in a story. So, in truth, we the readers have no way of knowing what did or did not happen, since the people accused have no way of defending themselves.

Thus, what we have is an opinion column rather than a news story. I tend not to believe either side entirely, because I suspect there are assorted shades of grey in amongst the black and white. But, it is what it is.
