Because when it come down to whether signers of an anti-gay petition could keep their names private, he took the side of public disclosure over their desire to avoid consequences for bigotry.

I loathe the man and everything that he stands for.  In the darkest places in my heart I believe that Scalia would destroy this country to satisfy his constituency of 1%-ers and federalist society nutbags, and do it feeling that he was preserving the "natural" order of things as laid out by his Catholic upbringing.

You don't have to agree with me, and can call me an idiot if you wish but I deeply despise Scalia for many reasons not the least of which is his flippant attitude towards those of us who feel that the Court should never have gotten involved in Bush v Gore.  "Get over it" is not a governing philosophy.  Sorry.

But you may be an anti-Catholic bigot.  Judge him based on what he does, and not on why you think he does it.

        •  No, I'm not an anti-Catholic bigot (0+ / 0-)

I hate all religions equally.  See my sig line.

I had a few Catholic Chaplain friends onboard the ships I served on and liked and respected them.  But we never saw eye-to-eye on their religious tenets.

        •  "Accurately describe Catholics" = "Bigot" (0+ / 0-)

Heard it before, again and again and again.

Catholics taught the Tea Party everything they know about being the biggest fucking bullies on the playground - and then turning around and howling about how You're the Persecuted Party because your opponents accurately describe you.
