  •  Wilson is a distant outside choice for treasurer (1+ / 0-)

to begin with. He may have been "mentioned" but not seriously. This is an office where we need a powerful, dynamic, energetic candidate who can stump ceaselessly for 18 months, not someone like Charlie Wilson who was so bumbling that on his first congressional run, he failed to get the signatures he needed to get on the primary ballot and had to run as a write-in. Our current treasurer is the radically underqualified, radically ambitious White House-craving Tea Party puppet Josh "The Empty Suit" Mandel who made the race against Sherrod Brown last year a lot closer than it should have been by deploying (and having outside groups deploy) tens of millions of dollars almost exclusively targeted to lying to drive up Sherrod's negatives. Mandel needs to be stopped, and Wilson isn't the person to do it. Other much stronger names are floating around. When you are opposing a guy who has positioned himself as the gOP's future, you don't want a 70-year-old. And now his health would put in question whether he could mount the kind of campaign we need. I've also heard Connie Pillich and John Carney, although some thing Carney is angling to take on Teabaggin' Dave Yost for auditor.

    Jon Husted is a dick.
