    it's always good to file a timely return with the IRS, which can be done for free electronically. Having the continuity of your returns in the IRS files is always beneficial. Hopefully you will soon be able to generate some income and be required to file a return. As that point the IRS will wonder what happened to the missing years and it's always better to never have a return flagged by the IRS.
