    that the study of civics is no longer taught in our schools.  What course could be more important in a Democratic Republic?

    And History is often an elective these days, on it's way to being dumped too.  So kids are growing up without the context and perspective of this country's history, and no idea how government works.  Potent duo of ignorance.

      is a feature, not a bug.  Our corporate masters don't want an informed electorate - barely educated drones, easily amused (Honey Boo-Boo, anyone?) and willing to work long hours for low pay are their ideal.
