    kids, hs students do much better. The biological issue is that the brain starts figuring out setting the daily circadian rhythm in adolescence. Problem is it uses a 25 hour clock for quite a few years. So they are constantly awake an hour later every evening. Weekends are really bad.

    I actually got my kids to realize how much worse Monday was if they didn't stick to a regular and reasonable bedtime. Most also need a good 9 hours.

    Something I found a few years ago when I was teaching clinicals for LPN and RN. Study showed that when we learn something during the day, the brain rearranges the information that night so it is better remembered. Cramming the night before an exam is not likely to help as much as the self discipline of studying enough for weeks before.

    Can't find it right now, there was also something about aromatherapy I don't remember.
