  •  That bridge between Kentucky and Ohio, (0+ / 0-)

between McConnell's State and Boehner's district ought to be looked at more closely.

Perhaps if we came up with a hefty plan to work on roads and bridges that strongly benefited mostly republican districts, and let that be a stand alone, meanwhile crafting a bill with increases to the FICA tax, closing loopholes, with a new trading tax, in incremental fuel tax increase of 3 cents a year - making the infrastructure bill a peace offering and incentive - honestly - while restoring funding for all other programs to 2012 levels - give them PORK, which will help the economy - in their districts as well as the country as a whole, putting us all back on track.

Literally make the infrastructure look and feel as though it was fashioned just for GOP districts - but to use it as an incentive for the above tax changes, and/or similar ones.

    Why not?

The dems can say to the voters in those districts and states that they had as much of a hand in getting that pork as did their republican representatives, and their party has worked hard to get the country back on track to a healthier economy.

    Why not?

When tyrants speak, only nonsense is heard.
