    You have to burn 3600 calories to loose one pound. Running is one of the most time efficient ways to burn calories and it takes a typical women about 36 miles to burn the additional calories to loose one pound. Exercise is important for many reasons but only dedicated athletes burn enough calories for exercise to be the main component in weight loss. Calorie control is the main component of weight loss for almost everyone.

      is the only thing that does it for me.  I work at a sedentary job, but do 100% of the housework and cook and clean for a 2 year old and a 12 year old.  I ran 10 miles this morning in preparation for a half-marathon next month.

      Without the exercise I would weigh MUCH more.  (I am a guy)

      Republican tax policies have led to financial conditions which have caused Republicans to demand cuts to programs they have always opposed.
