What, did you think they climbed into guns and had themselves fired off to Albany?

"There's a lot of people here. There's more people coming right now," said Moriarty, who arrived with 125 members of the Black Rock Fish & Game Club in Cornwall on two buses.

Orange County has passed a resolution affirming Second Amendment Rights. Ulster County has opposed the process and certain provision of the NY SAFE Act. Sullivan County has tabled a resolution opposing the act.

Eleven-year-old Lene Fornino of the Town of Rochester arrived on one of seven buses along with 300 people from Ulster County. She sang "God Bless America" toward the end of the rally, with the crowd chanting "USA" back to her when she finished.

We demanded a plan to reduce gun violence. Now it's time to demand a vote.

      •  Your diary says... (5+ / 0-) the delighted cheers of what few tea partiers they could bus in for the publicity stunt, it was business as usual for the NRA.
According to your sources and mine, the NRA did not bus them in. They organized, paid for buses, and came to Albany to protest a law that was crammed through by a backdoor deal between Cuomo and a few complicit legislators.
Clearly, it was not a "publicity stunt." It was a legitimate political protest.

Is there anything accurate in your diary?

Things are more like they are now than they've ever been before...

Sources like this one, showing the NRA-ILA coordinating with its affiliate, the NYSRPA? Sure, why would they do that, or that doesn't count, since it has initials other than N, R, and A, right...

Sources like the Ulster County Federated Sportsmen's Clubs, that work with the NRA, or SAFE, another affiliate with an NRA application form on-site? Both of which happened to be involved with the bus rentals for the Albany rally?

Queue up the usual semantic complaints about them being NRA affiliates and how that somehow doesn't count. It's fun to see just how pathetic the counter-arguments from gun enthusiasts have become, as the data piles up against their rejected right-wing fringe stand on guns.

We demanded a plan to reduce gun violence. Now it's time to demand a vote.

If I start a CREDO or MoveOn petition, do I become a DNC operative?  Evidence of some vast Left Wing/Progressive conspiracy is a group of like-minded people acting in-concert?

EqualityMaine is a George Soros attempt at undermining the Vatican and Holy Matrimony?

What of this email I received:

Thank you to everyone who has purchased a seat on one of our charter buses going to the historic February 17 "Forward on Climate Rally" in Washington, DC!
The buzz and excitement about the rally has been amazing, and I'm proud to report that Sierra Club Maine has filled three charter buses to bring Mainers to what will be the largest climate rally ever.

When did the Sierra Club become a wing of the DNC?
Shills for the Nuclear Power industry?
The Sierra Club, must have had a hand in Solyndra, and were bought by the Obama Administration.

It's called freedom of association, and obviously you don't like the idea that like-minded New Yorkers might appear at the Capital to voice a contrary opinion.  How American of you.
Obviously the world functions better if the Democratic Machine makes the decisions, and the people OBEY.
A century passes, and Albany remains the same.

Too bad the protesters didn't carry little flowers as a message.  "Fiorello" in Italian.

"The bill's sponsor has a better chance of being the next Pope" ~ attributed to Rep. Eric Burlison of Missouri
