    it was always winter, but never Christmas.  There is no joy in this perpetual snow.

      Baltimore or DC. We would like some before the planet warms to the point we don't get it anymore.

        morning for months, but not enough to cause anything other that a few delays --- not really serious snow ---- just agrivating.

          small clippers that scoot right out to sea. we had no blocking all winter, now we get a block that might be too strong and shunt the storm south, but it might give Baltimore or DC a hit. the worst was the 2/6/10 blizzard that buried DC and Philly and the NJ shore but left NYC high and dry; you could look out from Coney Island and see Monmouth county in the distance as huge deformation bands pounded it. Sick. We did get a foot two days later though.

      was stolen by the shootings at Sandy Hook, and Webster on Christmas Eve.

      Indeed this has seemed like a very long winter.
