My Camoo has had diarrhea off and on for about a half a year. The vet had her on a product that, as far as I could tell, was mostly gelled pectin. It came in a syringe-type thing and I was to put a measured (tiny!) amount in her wet food 2x daily. It worked well but unfortunately I'm unemployed and it is extremely expensive stuff, even for just a little bit. I haven't been able to keep up with it.

Anyway, no one mentioned pumpkin to me--sounds good! And whaddya know, I actually have some on hand (no spice, totally plain). Thanks for the tip! I'm gonna try it today, and the rice water as well. ;)

    Thanks again, kishik

    God bless our tinfoil hearts.

      not to overdo it!!!

I think adding a little with gushy food every day will be fine, but don't do big heaping tablespoonsful!

My vet always recommends stuff that is OTC for cost savings (like Lysine, which they make in a gel for pooties, but I get it in bulk free form from Amazon and just mix in food)

Remember with rice water or electrolyte water that you don't want to leave it out for more than a day since bacteria will grow in it.
