Fan Clubs for either pop stars or pols never have never will. Electoral politics are a means to an end not blind support for any pol regardless of which party they fly under. Listen to yourself, this is very undemocratic and frankly exactly why this current lot of crooks, killers and assorted anti-democratic pols get away with their mendacity.

Any time you tell people that party loyalty and idolizing, being a fan of a politician, putting party and a pol before our country's common good and the universal law, the Great Writ or the basic principles of human and civil rights,  you've lost me as a citizen or a voter. I'm a life long Democrat but if my party stops being a vehicle that I can support at a basic level then it's not worth supporting. Ass backward cart before the horse politics that my be better then the Republican's but are in no way supportable.

Your list of Obama's accomplishments is so delusional and twisted it's laughable and sad. This isn't about Obama it's about the demise of our party and the democratic republic I believe in, flawed as it was. If this site demands that  Democrat's and liberals must genuflect and  kiss the ring of Obama then perhaps it is no longer democratic or Democratic.

Obama is a pretty horrible president if you ignore everything good that he's done.

What I have listed are real progressive accomplishments (against unprecedented partisan opposition, I might add) and you have nothing that shows otherwise.  And I'm sorry you think the equal rights of gays and lesbians are "laughable" and "delusional".

You reject Obama because he is not 100% pure, just like the Tea Party does to Republican candidates, which will ultimately lead to the irrelevance of the Republican Party.  It is already happening; Karl Rove is already gearing up to fight back against the Tea Party's influence.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Tea Party forms a third party soon.

Let's not do the same thing to our candidates, our party, and our movement.
