  •  No I don't read comments (0+ / 0-)

    I read diaries.

So I guess I'll never know.

appearances, you will miss much in life of value.  there is more to be seen than the formality of punctuation in life.

i suggest you DO go look at the photo i posted - it might help you revisit your intolerance based on lack of information.

btw, if i judged your beautiful photographs on the informality of the spelling of your first name or the lack of a last name, would that make them any less beautiful?

i have explained many times to those who ASK why i don't use caps - and would do it again when ASKED - however, when people judge without asking, i am less prone to engage in dialogue on this topic.

      •  I didn't know I judged and I wasn't looking... (0+ / 0-)

for a fight. Perhaps this has some unintended tone that you can somehow detect.

I would love to recommend this diary but I can't rec proper nouns and sentences beginning with lower case letters.

Perhaps someday someone will explain this trend to me. Maybe it's cool, I just don't know.

I wasn't looking for a fight. I was seeking answers.

If it is necessary that the answer to "Perhaps someday someone will explain this trend to me" is taking offense, being told to "Go Fish" and a lecture on how I should be conducting my life so I won't "miss much in life of value" than I guess that I just don't care anymore.

        •  this is not a trend. i have arthritis that makes (0+ / 0-)

it difficult for me to use my little fingers for the shift key.  the joint on my right hand is fused at the little finger - i have to seriously torque my wrist to try to use caps in regular typing.

i posted a picture above showing the stitches from the two joint transplants i had at the end of december to try to give me more functionality of my hands - but, so far, the result is worse than prior to the surgery.  the only good thing is that my hands don't hurt like hell - the fingers just don't bend.  i'm working physical therapy every day for hours at a time.

might i suggest, next time, rather than make a comment that is somewhat snarky, why not just ask the typist why they are not using capital letters.

after the surgery, i spent the next two months typing with one hand only.  now, at least, i can type with two before the discomfort turns me away from the keyboard.

this is your answer to why this particular poster doesn't use caps. and, if i am a bit touchy - i've been answering this question for a number of years - the answer has always been the same, except now i have the surgery added to the mix.

and, fyi, i really like your photography - as a former ny'er who spent many rolls of film at the bronx zoo and about the city, your pictures take me back to a place for which i am very fond.
