  •  this is not a trend. i have arthritis that makes (0+ / 0-)

it difficult for me to use my little fingers for the shift key.  the joint on my right hand is fused at the little finger - i have to seriously torque my wrist to try to use caps in regular typing.

i posted a picture above showing the stitches from the two joint transplants i had at the end of december to try to give me more functionality of my hands - but, so far, the result is worse than prior to the surgery.  the only good thing is that my hands don't hurt like hell - the fingers just don't bend.  i'm working physical therapy every day for hours at a time.

might i suggest, next time, rather than make a comment that is somewhat snarky, why not just ask the typist why they are not using capital letters.

after the surgery, i spent the next two months typing with one hand only.  now, at least, i can type with two before the discomfort turns me away from the keyboard.

this is your answer to why this particular poster doesn't use caps. and, if i am a bit touchy - i've been answering this question for a number of years - the answer has always been the same, except now i have the surgery added to the mix.

and, fyi, i really like your photography - as a former ny'er who spent many rolls of film at the bronx zoo and about the city, your pictures take me back to a place for which i am very fond.

EdriesShop Is it kind? is it true? is it necessary?
