    the lyrics from the song, "What It's Like" run thru my head.

    And she got some static as she walked thru the door. They called her a killer. They called her a sinner. And they called her a whore. But God forbid they ever found out it was like to have to chose because then they'd know what it's like to sing the blues.

    People that can't empathize. That's the problem. They live in a bubble (and white privilege affords them that option). They can't imagine why anyone could possibly need something they didn't (or were ashamed to admit they did) and want to force their morals on everyone else. There's a term sometimes used for people who can't empathize -- sociopath.

    What's wrong with America? I'll tell you. Everything Romney said was pre-chewed wads of cud from Republicans from the last 30 years and yet he managed thru a combination of racism and selling the (false) hope of riches to get 47% of the national vote.
