    All people have these rights.  The constitution does not list all of our rights, "It's a negative list, not a positive list," or so the Republican drum beat goes, but they never mention these, the most basic, decent rights of all.

    I don't know if we can ever get a con-con up and running and there is significant risk if it happens that it won't go the way it should.

    The "living, breathing" idea seems to be the substitute for the actual change we want to see in the document and it's been working fine.  There are only a few of the less-intelligent on the political Right that don't get this.

      ...were given the opportunity to write their own destiny, they would come up with a fine and decent document that would be ratified by all the states.

      There are just so many things they haven't thought of yet. Like election funding, for example, which is touched on in most constitutions. Generally, it is unconstitutional to accept campaign contributions or for a candidate to use their own money. Campaigns are single-payer via the government with transparent equality.

        I infer from you relieve that such a document would be "ratified by the all the states" means you must be excluding Oklahoma.
