    The anecdote I love to tell is that my grandfather, who was a high school teacher,  Was given Sabbaticals every seven years.

    On his salary, he could afford to use those to take his entire family, (Wife and 3 daughters) to Europe.  

    He returned, and cranked out another seven years with excellent results.

    Downtime is necessary for humans.  Even Machines cannot work every day without fail.  Things wear out and need to be replaced.  In a profession that works primarily with the mind, refreshment should be not only offered, it should be mandatory.

    I don't blame Christians. I blame Stupid. Which sadly is a much more popular religion these days.
