    “To somehow allege or infer that the president of the United States is going to kill somebody like Jane Fonda or somebody who disagrees with his policies is a stretch of imagination, which is, frankly, ridiculous,” McCain said.
    This is the second time in the past few weeks that McCain has substantially needled one of his colleagues (the other was Cruz) when they've alleged something ridiculous.

    Despite the fact that McCain also needled Hagel on the fact that he used to be a vocal needler, I have the feeling that we may be getting back to a more even-kiltered McCain.

      And maybe he likes the fact that the president showed him respect by inviting him to dinner. If stroking his ego will help get his vote for anything important, the president should go as far as a weekly (well, maybe biweekly) standing date, if need be.
