Let's get all worked up over horse meat in Europe. Meanwhile, the GOP has forced us into possibly laying off......wait for it.......FOOD INSPECTORS!!!

You know, I like Maher...most of the time. But, when he gets up on his sanctimonious high horse (pun intended), he loses me. He fails to mention in his little rant that there has been no evidence of horse meat in the US food supply. And his condescending tone about people shopping at Ikea (we can't all afford to donate a million bucks to a political campaign) is just off-putting. I wish he would make up his mind. Is he supporting the "common man" or is he one of the wealthy elite scoring cheap laughs at his expense?

Also, if you're willing to eat raw fish and call it a delicacy you deserve what you get.

I've gotten the gyp at Applebee's, when stuck in the 'burbs, more often than I have eating raw fish, either sushi or ceviche.

He's first and foremost a comedian.  He's going to defend a group one time and then poke fun at them the next time depending on the context and where he can make a joke.

No horse meat has been found in the US but it's still getting a lot of attention in the US media and forum activity has shown that it's a pretty popular topic in the US regardless.
