feral advocate started injecting some with a strong birth control chemical so there is no way to know that the meat doesn't contain it. She is only injecting a very few horses but it has caused mexican slaughterhouse not to accept any horses originating in the US as it causes the meat not to be resold to  Europe.

Besides the expense there is ecological damage to arid ecosystems.

they were wiped out, at least partly by humans, about 12 thousand years ago?

The genus Equidae, in fact, originated here.

They're supposed to be part of the healthy ecology, as are the wolves that eat them.

income gains to the top 1% from 2009 to 2011 were 121% of all income increases. How did that happen? Incomes to the bottom 99% fell by 0.4%

    •  Good, nice solution. The BLM, (Bureau of (0+ / 0-)

Livestock and Mining), has had an extermination project targeting feral equines for decades. There are sustainable populations in a number of areas, but the cattle ranchers want all the grazing, all the time for their cattle only and don't want to pay market price for the leases.

There are plenty of times I agree with you, but we disagree on this one.
