  •  Ann is very very disappointed in us (15+ / 0-)

Imagine, listening to a media that would have the temerity, the audacity, to play a recording of her husband's actual words, and then drawing conclusions from those actual words. Why, who the hell did we think we are?

Of course, there would be no sequester right now if Mitt had won the election. That's because he would have acceded to the right-wing's demands that Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security be eviscerated so that the 1% could have more tax cuts.

Of course, there would also be no sequester if a killer asteroid hit the earth, destroying all life on the planet, but hey, at least Republicans and Democrats would be dying at equal rates.

    •  she seems under contract to Mitt in a way (6+ / 0-)

Her adoration of him came off as if she had to show affection for him as an obligation of some kind. In the way an actress promotes a movie, no matter how much it sucks. As if talking badly about said movie violates a signed agreement.

      cheerleaders need not apply.

      •  I have no idea how she really feels about him (12+ / 0-)

For all I know, her affection for him, and her view of his abilities (however misguided) is genuine.

What I do know is how she feels about the rest of us: we're a bunch of snot-nosed ingrates who should have begged Mitt to be President, on whatever terms he cared to impose in return for his leadership. No tax returns? No problem. No clear principles? No problem. We should have all been delighted that Mitt was willing to admit us into his cult.  And when I use the term "cult," I'm not referring to the LDS.  I'm referring to the cult of hero worship with which Mitt has surrounded himself.

"Daddy's whaling on you because he cares so much about your soul, darling.  He loves you so much."

He'd only cut SS because he's worried about old folks selling out to government programs that destroy their initiative.

The list is endless, and Ann would be the soft voice telling us he loves us.

I'm not looking for a love that will lift me up and carry me away. A love that will stroll alongside and make a few amusing comments will suffice.

        •  The two of them are spending most of their post- (3+ / 0-)

election media opportunities crying in their diet pepsis over the fact that we ungrateful middle-class folk fail to see how wonderful our lives would be with Mittens as our fearful leader.  My only response is . . . BARF!!!

When all else fails, try thinking!

We don't have King Mitt and Queen Anne ruling our country. What a mistake we have made not voting for them. You have forgotten haven't you Anne how the media -especially Fox and CNN-did everything they could to get your husband elected and that still didn't work. Not to mention local news and talk radio. And I'll never forget the oversaturation of pro-Romney ads on CNN.You did everything except you weren't able to outsmart the majority of the voters that was your problem Marie Antoinette.
