    Why, if they really are in favor of "commerce," are they fighting so hard to make sure people have no money to spend?

    Money paid in the community is money spent in the community.  But if people are living on the edge, they're worrying about necessities like staying in their homes, keeping the lights on, keeping the heat on.  They don't go out to eat, they don't buy clothes just because its spring, they don't go to the movies.

    The Chamber and these so-called "business leaders" just don't seem to get it through their marble-like skulls that for most of the people in the 99%, money is a tool of COMMERCE.  We get it, we use it.  More money into our pockets means more money into the pockets of the business community.

    Why don't they want businesses to succeed?

    History should teach humility and prudence, but America doesn't seem to learn. I've never seen a virgin who loses her innocence so often. -- Gordon Wood
