    because their brains do not compute "how" and "why." Even when they are attracted to technological stuff, it's the repetition they like in games, for example, and the virtual life.

    Software, I think, is evolving to take their deficits into account. Random repetition may suggest an oxymoron, but lots of instinct-driven creatures rely on a limited repertoire carried out, more or less at random, over and over, and result, for example, in the erection of beaver dams and ponds that are good for swimming and storing food under water. There doesn't have to be a plan. All of the "successful" dams have the same basic structure. That there are many failed attemps in the same terrain gets overlooked by humans who are so impressed by the one that works.
