    agents of government who can't satisfy the people who hired them. Because, entitlements are rights and citizens have, not just human and civil rights, but they have the right to expect that the people they hire and pay to work will actually perform, as they all take an oath to do when they take the job.

    The Cons are really good at half truths and misapplying language to confused their critics. What they would like their audience to believe is that entitlements are privileges and, ideally, inherited ones. So, any claims made by the johnny-come-latelies are to be dismissed out of hand. We should not let them get away with it.
    People with few practical talents, people who can't work with their hands, quite naturally rely on their gift of gab to get them what they want. Persuasion and deception are, after all, safer than theft. If people consent to being exploited, then they have no complaint, as Dear Abby used to say.

    We organize governments to deliver services and prevent abuse.
