      I'd buy Colorado, since that's a slight enough westward adjustment for tornados, and the Rio Grande Rift is mostly played out that far north so no Mag 4-5 quakes to panic anyone.  

      Why leave the mosquito-rich, flood-prone real estate that is D.C.?  At least there are Democrats here.  What would all us Blue Marylanders have to giggle and swear about?

      Kansas?  Love the country, don't understand what their Republican-dominated self-destructive citizens call politics.

      OTOH, as ground zero for the great AGW-caused great drought, residence in KS might sway Congress toward grudging acceptance of anthropogenic global warming.

      Nah.  They're too far gone. Congress, that is, not Kansans.
