I have my very first iPod on order--and the main use I have in mind for it is to help me with organization!  Figured by now there has to be a polished and effective app to overcome my lack of "executive function."

Surely at least it'll have a calendar and reminders and alarms....

a lifesaver since I got my first one 4+ years ago.

I was on the fence about the whole "smartphone" thing when Apple first announced their entry into the market -- I didn't see the need for one. But in 2010 when I was on the go dealing with the dual illnesses of both my parents-in-law (and father-in-law's eventual death that year), I relied on the device more and more. I can look up bus schedules without having to carry along paper ones, I have the calendar at my fingertips to coordinate appointments, I use the camera to take pictures of items my mother-in-law might be interested in looking at (rather than carting her from store to store) and take notes right there so I have them always with me. And it's a source of entertainment, from keeping tabs on diaries at DK or interesting links from Twitter to the casual games I can pull out when I'm otherwise bored.

Now if they just came up with an app to clean my apartment for me, I'm good.
