Wouldn't take much in the way of resources to spotlight some real science blogs. Probably you, and a dozen or more other regular science focused bloggers here, have many of them bookmarked.

Whether it could be pushed out enough to make an impact - who knows. We don't have to win - even a respectable showing could get some "reality based" stuff on the list, and some reality based folks on the final voting panel. How does that take more resources or energy than mocking the system without mercy?

It is too late to salvage this year's selection, but we could make an effort for next year. The nomination process starts in early January. We could organize a little campaign in December to come with sites to nominate and get the word out via social media in January to solicit nominations. It can be done with a little spit and elbow grease.
