    Thank you rugbymom. I love the Maya Angelou quote. So true.

    Isn't part of a life, of thinking about one's life, reflecting on the past and the what ifs, even if there is no going back. It is what has enabled me to see that everything I did was from an honest place of hope and compassion, for all of us.

    I certainly have been writing about this. I wrote while locked in my room with him screaming, and I write now when I am about to buy my own apartment. It is a wonderful way for me to find myself.

      and sometimes he is homeless. It has been a struggle to let him be homeless, but I feel more certain as time passes that I cannot let him live here even for a few days. My own mental health makes that necessary, and I've even been able to tell him that it would not be good for me, and I have to go with that.

      There are so many variants of the situation, and all are painful to everyone concerned.

      Good luck to you on your journey. And to your daughters and your ex on theirs.
