As much as I defend you this is one area that you have allowed to go on for years.

Why you have not recess appointed every nominee that is filibustered or stalled is beyond me. Two and a half years? No recess appointment? You can whine and complain, but you had a remedy that you didn't use.

The recess appointments have been ranked from him because the Republicans have not actually allowed recesses to happen.

Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?

As of January 2012, Obama had made 32 recess appointments. Obama did not recess appoint everyone who was pending, that is my point. Way before this got to the courts Obama could have appointed everyone who was waiting but he did not.

There were valid recesses in his first 4 years and he failed to appoint everyone. Why is my question. If this Halligan has been waiting for 2 1/2 years, why didn't Obama just appoint her during a valid recess?

According to the Congressional Research Service, President Ronald Reagan made 240 recess appointments, President George H. W. Bush made 77 recess appointments, President Bill Clinton made 139 recess appointments. President George W. Bush made 171 recess appointments, and as of January 5, 2012, President Barack Obama had made 32 recess appointments.

    •  To have a recess appt you must have a recess (0+ / 0-)

Which the GOP has managed to avoid by using technicalities in the rules to prevent an actual recess. Thus, no recess appointments.
